The World Poker Tour Championship takes place at the Bellagio Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, in the ever popular and beautiful Bellagio poker room. The World Poker Tour Championship is the final tournament of the World Poker Tour and the largest and most anticipated event on the WPT calendar. The winners of the World Poker Tour tournaments, held throughout the season, will descend on Las Vegas to play for the WPT championship along with hundreds of online qualifiers and professionals from all over the world, all trying to get their share of over $13 Million dollars prize pool.

The World Poker Tour Championship is the final event in Bellagio's Five Diamond World Poker Classic. The No-Limit Texas Hold'em World Poker Tour Championship event takes place during late April, with a buy-in (with entry fee) of $25,500 this is one serious poker Tournament that many of the pros would leave their mothers waiting at the airport just to take part.

With the excellent poker tournament structure of the Bellagio, giving players 10,000 starting chips and 60 minuets blinds instead of the usual Bellagio 90 minuet blinds. Building up to the main event there are around fifteen smaller poker tournaments at the Bellagio, with buy-ins ranging from $2,600 to $10,200 for various poker games. Also satellites are run regularly and many players spend a few days before the main event trying to qualify.
