WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star

The Bay 101 Shooting Star
The Shooting Star Tournament is held at the Bay 101 Casino, in San Jose, California. The Shooting Star Poker Tournament is part of the World Poker Tour line-up and attracts a number of professional and amateur players from across the United States.
The Bay 101 Casino is a Card room offering traditional poker as well as a variety of card games with a twist, such as 21st century Blackjack, Double Hand Poker, Pai Gow, and Pan. The Shooting Star poker tournament is slightly different from other World Poker Tour events as it is the only ‘Bounty Tournament’ in the annual calendar. Bay 101 Casino puts $5000 bounty money on "stars" that can be won when a player knocks the bounty player out. In 2007 there were 23 players with bounties, and only one of them made it to the final six. The last bounty player was 2003 World Series of Poker champ Chris
Moneymaker. The Bay 101 Casino also hosts other annual events and for further information on the Bay 101 Casino, see our Bay 101 Casino review.
