Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic
The Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic also known as the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic, is held at the prestigious poker room in the Bellagio Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. The last big tournament of the poker year is a World Poker Tour Event and it always attracts big name poker pros from around the world. The Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic begins its build-up at the end of November with two weeks of daily poker tournaments and satellites for the main event. Culminating in a 3 day World Poker Tour no limit Texas Hold'em poker tournament with a $15,000 buy-in.
The Bellagio Hotel Casino tournaments run with an excellent structure of 90 minuet blinds and a huge starting chip stack of 45,000 chips. This gives players the opportunity to play it slow and wait for strong hands during day one before the pressure starts to build. There are three starting days playing till level five after which the field is narrowed down to the final 6, who take their seat on the televised final table and fight for the chance of taking home over $2,400,000 cash.
The daily tournaments preceding the WPT poker tournament include no limit, limit, and pot limit Texas Hold'em as well as 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo, Omaha Hi-Lo, and Pot Limit Omaha. Tournament buy-ins are between $1,000 and $3,000. The winner of the $15,000 WPT main event tournament will receive an entry to the $25,000 World Poker Tour Championship which will also be held at the Bellagio. Some of the other poker tournaments in the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic will also be award entries to the $25,000 World Poker Tour Championship, (restrictions apply).
For players looking for a high Buy-in event, this is an excellent choice. The tournament structures at the Bellagio make for a very enjoyable game, in a poker room considered by many of the pro’s as ‘home’.
