Borgata Poker Open Tournament at Borgata Casino Hotel Atlantic City The Borgata Poker Open is a series of poker tournament held annually at the Borgata Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. First held in 2003, the year the Borgata opened, the event attracted 235 players with a prize pool of $1,175,000. Held every September, the Borgata Poker Open was such a success that it is now one of the headlining stop on the Word Poker Tour circuit. The Borgata Poker Open consists of eight individual no limit Texas Hold'em poker tournaments, with the final tournament being a World Poker Tour televised tournament with a $10,000 buy-in. Buy-ins for other preceding tournaments range from $500 to $2,500. The Borgata holds regular Super Satellites building up to the event to the and during the Borgata Poker Open tournaments.
